Northeast Elite Hockey is a well-established developmental youth league for players ranging from mites to high school. For more than 10 years NEH has remained true
to it’s philosophy--to focus on developing players through practices and skills sessions overseen by experienced, professional coaches.

The NEH model of two practices, one skills session, and one highly competitive game per week provides the optimal balance of learning and playing opportunities. Though many youth organizations have expanded the number of games played per season, typically at the expense of practice opportunities, it is NEH’s belief that the 3:1 ratio of practices to games allows young players to acquire and assimilate the skills needed to succeed in increasingly higher levels of the sport. » Click Here to Learn More

NEH helps its players succeed through positive reinforcement, hard work and discipline. Our program includes an experienced coaching staff and a competitive game each week. The program has been designed to maximize the potential and development of each player in the NEH.

Each year we evaluate players and place them at the proper level based on ability not birthdate. This method has proven to be extremely successful for the players involved as well as making our divisions more competitive.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Tryouts will be very competitive and players need to keep committed to working hard at practices, skills and camps in order to give themselves the best chance of making an NEH team for next season.

As always, NEH offers alternate spots at all levels. The alternate spot will be a very selective process as well in order to make sure that the player is at the correct level for them to develop.

With the emphasis being put on player commitment and raising the level of play, combined with our consistent philosophy of player development, NEH will be stronger than ever.

• Each player will receive 3 tryouts (three scrimmages)
• All registered players will receive their tryout times via email approximately 5 days prior to their first tryout date.
